Terms of use

By using Sarréh you accept what follows. It is deliberately short.
1. What Sarréh is, and is not
We introduce people, we do not employ them
Providers are independent. They are not our employees, and we do not direct their work. Sarréh is the place where you meet — not the company doing the job.
The contract binds the two of you
The price, the date, the terms — that is your agreement, not ours. We are not a party to it.
We hold the money, we do not own it
Payment for a service is made in the app, by mobile money. Sarréh holds the amount on behalf of both parties until the service is complete, then pays it to the provider when the customer confirms the work is done — or, failing a reply, twenty-four hours after the reminder sent on the evening of the service, if no problem has been reported.
That amount is never ours and does not enter our assets. We take no commission on it. The mobile money operator's fees are deducted from the payout; they are set by the operator.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation terms are shown in the offer before you accept it and depend on how far ahead of the service you are. A refund is sent to the number used for the payment. Once the amount has been paid to the provider we can no longer take it back: the dispute is then settled between you.
Using the platform is free during the launch period
No fee is charged to you today. We may introduce pricing in the future; it will be announced in advance in the app and on this site, and will never apply retroactively to a booking already agreed.
Verification is a check, not a guarantee
We confirm that a person is who they claim to be, and that they hold the documents their trade requires. We do not guarantee the quality of any work.
2. What we expect from you
A real identity
One account per person, in your own name, with genuine documents. A forged document closes the account.
Being of age
Sarréh is for adults. If a service concerns a child, an adult opens the account and remains responsible for it.
Honest reviews and reports
A review reflects a real booking. Reporting someone out of rivalry or revenge is an abuse of the system, and is treated as such.
Respect
No insults, no harassment, no discrimination, nothing illegal. That applies in conversations as much as in person.
3. For providers
Advertise what you can actually do
Your trade, your documents and your prices must be accurate. A listing can be taken down if they are not.
Your obligations remain yours
Registration, taxes, insurance, professional rules — Sarréh changes none of that.
Honour what you accept
An accepted offer is a commitment. Repeated cancellations, or not turning up, lead to suspension.
4. When things go wrong
We can warn, suspend or remove
After a report has been examined, and always by a human decision. We tell the person why, and what they must do to come back.
A dispute over a booking
Report it from the conversation. While the amount is still with us, the report stops it being paid out for as long as the review takes. Our team reads the conversation and the accepted offer and acts as a mediator; failing an agreement between you, it decides whether the amount goes back to the customer or to the provider, and says why. Once paid out, it can no longer be recovered and the dispute is settled between you.
On the quality of the work itself we are not judges: we look at what the offer said and what the conversation shows.
The limit of our responsibility
We answer for the service Sarréh provides: the introduction, the checks we announce, the protection of your data. We do not answer for the work carried out, nor for what happens while it is.
5. The rest
You can leave at any time
Delete your account from your profile, without notice or justification. The steps are set out in Deleting your account.
These terms may change
We will tell you in the app before any significant change takes effect.
Governing law
